GLADE SPRING, Va. (AP) — Qore Systems, a manufacturer of hand purifiers, is relocating its operation from Arizona to the Highlands Business Park in Glade Spring, bringing 140 jobs to the area.
The Bristol Herald Courier reports the announcement was made Wednesday by Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
The move is being seen as a rebirth for the Washington County town and the business park. Four years ago, a tornado destroyed Gates Corporation’s facility in the park. The decision was made not to rebuild.
The jobs that will be created by Qore will nearly replace the 170 jobs that were lost by Gates employees.
